CA: State Water Resources Control Board Request for Proposals, Nonpoint Source Implementation Grants, and a Wetland Protection Grant are now offered through the Clean Water Act (CWA) sections 205(j), 319(h), and 104(b)(3) respectively. The 159 page information packet for all three CWA programs can be found at http://www.swrcb.ca.gov/nps/grants.html. 205(j) Water Quality Planning and Assessment Program proposals are requested for water quality planning projects designed to reduce, eliminate, or prevent water pollution and enhance water quality. Available to local public agencies and special districts such as resource conservation districts, water districts, councils of governments, city and county agencies. Deadline: postmark by June 16, 2000. Contact: Paul Lillebo, 916-657-1031. 319(h) NPS Implementation Program -- proposals are requested for water quality planning projects designed to reduce, eliminate, or prevent water pollution and eenhance water quality. Available to nonprofit organizations, local government agencies including special districts, Indian Tribes and educational institutions. Deadline: postmark by June 16, 2000. Contact: Lauma Jurkevics, 916-657-0518. 104(b)(3) Wetlands Protection Grant Program funds are anticipated to be released between June and September 2001. There are a number of funds that are administered through DFG's Fishery Restoration Grants Program. These include: Proposition 99, Proposition 70, Timber Tax Credit Program, the Commercial Salmon Stamp Account, the Steelhead Trout Catch Report-Restoration Card funds, the Bosco-Keene Renewable Resources Investment Fund (RRIF), the Central Valley Project Improvement Act (Public Law 102-575), and the Fisheries Restoration Account.
